Peter Wegner

Peter Wegner is an American artist best known for his exploration of color.

His extensive body of work includes large-scale installations as well as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, collage and artist's books.

Permanent museum collections featuring Peter Wegner's work include The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Yale University Art Gallery, The San Jose Museum of Art, The Albright-Knox Art Gallery, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, The J. Paul Getty Museum, Museum der bildenden Künste, The University of Colorado Art Museum, The UNC Ackland Art Museum, and The Henry Art Gallery at UW.

Solo presentations of Wegner's artwork include Lever House and The Bohen Foundation (both NYC) and Museum der bildenden Künste (Leipzig DE), as well as galleries in NYC, LA, Berlin and Tokyo.

For the Stanford University campus, Wegner created four permanent installations, notably Monument to Change.

Significant private collections include Collezione Panza, Varese IT; Lever House, NY, NY; and Sammlung Rosenkranz, Berlin DE.
